Yves Leccia L'Altru Biancu has a beautiful glossy yellow color. In the nose, the wine is very expressive with aromas of white flowers and honey. In the mouth the wine is cool, greedy and mineral with exciting fresh acidity at the end.
The grapes come from Partinelone. The soil here consists of clay-limestone on a slate subsoil. The grapes are harvested manually when they are healthy and well ripe. Then the whole crop is pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks where the wine continues to mature on its fine lees for 6 months.
Delicious as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to grilled fish, sea urchin, oysters or hard cheeses.
Yves Leccia L'Altru Biancu is a delicious French organic white wine from Corsica. This wine is made by winery Domaine Yves Leccia from 100% Biancu Gentile grapes.
Recommended serving temperature between 10°C and 12°C.
Yves Leccia has put a lot of effort into the development of the family domain while actively participating in the revival of the Corsican wine industry. Today he is still president of UVA Corse and president of the Scientific and Technical Committee for Wine. At the same time, together with several other winegrowers, he is at the basis of the recognition of Corsican wines, especially in the top French gastronomy.
In 2004, Yves left the family domain to found Domaine Yves Leccia supported by his wife Sandrine, who also comes from a wine-growing family but from Alsace. From 8 hectares in the beginning (6 hectares on E Croce and 2 hectares on Partinelone), a restructuring program brought the area of the domain to 15 hectares, of which 9 hectares in total are now on Partinelone. They did this mainly on the basis of the reintroduction of old grape varieties.
