Xavier Vignon Côtes du Rhône Rouge
Côtes du Rhône Rouge by Xavier Vignon is made from a blend of different Rhône grapes, typically Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, supplemented with smaller amounts of Cinsault, Carignan and Counoise. The exact ratio of grapes may vary per vintage.
The grapes come from various vineyards in the Rhône Valley, particularly in the Côtes du Rhône Villages and Côtes du Rhône appellations.
The wine is vinified in modern steel tanks, with temperature control to retain fresh fruit notes. After fermentation, the wine matures partly in cement and partly in cask, for a complex structure.
The Côtes du Rhône Rouge by Xavier Vignon has a deep garnet red color. The nose is expressive with aromas of red and black fruits, such as cherries, blackberries and raspberries, combined with spicy notes of garrigue (a typical Mediterranean vegetation) and sweet spices. The taste is full and powerful, with supple tannins and a long aftertaste.

An excellent wine in combination with lamb, venison, poultry and strong cheeses. This wine also tastes great with charcuterie and carpaccio.
