Wirra Wirra Mrs Wigley Moscato is a delicious light pink wine produced by the Australian winery Wirra Wirra. Moscato is a grape variety known for its sweet and fruity character, and it is often used to produce wonderfully refreshing and lightly effervescent wines.
The wine offers enticing aromas of ripe peaches, apricots, citrus fruits and floral notes, resulting in a highly aromatic and inviting scent. On the tongue, this Moscato presents itself with sweet, fruity flavors reminiscent of juicy peaches, nectarines and a touch of honey. It usually has a refreshing acidity that provides a lively and balanced taste experience. The light sparkle gives a playful touch to the wine, making it a pleasant choice for lovers of sweeter wines.
Mrs. Wigley was the name of a sweet cat who lived in the cellars of Van Wirra Wirra for many years. The wines of the same name are a tribute to her youthful, lively, playful, loving and reliable character. The grapes come mainly from McLaren Vale, with additions from New South Wales and Riverland.
Wirra Wirra Mrs Wigley Moscato is an ideal wine to serve chilled as a delicious aperitif, but it also goes well with light desserts, fruit salads and soft cheeses. This wine is ideally suited for informal and summer occasions, where it can let its fresh, sweet and refreshing character shine.

The Aboriginal name 'Wirra Wirra' means 'among the gum trees'. Founder Bob Wigley's wines, especially from the Syrah grape, were very popular in London. The wines have been exported around the world for over 100 years. In 1936 most of the vineyards were sold by the family and the wine cellars fell into disuse. In 1969, Greg and Roger Trott bought the dilapidated winery and some surrounding land. The two first cousins brought their own vineyards into the new company and started making wine, aided by the local wine producers.
McLaren Vale is located in the state of South Australia, a 45-minute drive from the capital Adelaide. It is famous as a culinary paradise full of tasty culinary specialties and great wines. The Mediterranean climate is tempered by the proximity of the Saint Vincent gulf. The summers are warm and the winters are moderate. Precipitation (580-700 mm per year) mainly falls in winter. During the warm season, humidity is low and evaporation is high. Little or no chance of frost during the growing period or rain during harvest. Depending on the type of soil and location, we work without irrigation or with drip irrigation. Wirra Wirra Winery has its own dam and water recycling installation. The vineyards work biodynamically.
