Adegas Castro Brey is a family-owned winery located in the heart of the Salnés Valley in Galicia, Spain. Founded in 1985 by José Castro Brey, the winery has a long-standing tradition of producing high-quality Albariño wines.
The winery owns over 30 hectares of vineyards, which are planted with Albariño grapes. The vineyards are situated in the Rias Baixas Denomination of Origin, an area known for its maritime climate, which is ideal for growing Albariño grapes. The winery also sources grapes from local growers who share their commitment to quality.
Adegas Castro Brey produces a range of Albariño wines, including their flagship wine, the Castro Brey Albariño. This wine is made from hand-picked grapes and is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve its freshness and acidity. The resulting wine is crisp and refreshing, with notes of citrus and tropical fruit.
In addition to their Albariño wines, Adegas Castro Brey also produces a limited amount of red wine from the Mencia grape. This wine is aged in oak barrels and has notes of dark fruit and spice.
