Novaia is a winery located in the Veneto region of Italy, specifically in the Valpolicella Classica area. The winery was founded in the late 1990s by Marco and Ornella Mazzoni and it has since then become a reference point for the production of high-quality Valpolicella wines.
Novaia cultivates about 15 hectares of vineyards, mostly dedicated to the classic Valpolicella grape varieties such as Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara. The winery's production philosophy is based on respect for the environment and sustainability, with a particular attention to the natural balance of the vineyards.
One of the most renowned wines of Novaia is its Valpolicella Superiore, made with a blend of the aforementioned grape varieties. This wine is aged in large oak barrels for at least 12 months, which gives it complexity and depth, while maintaining a fresh and fruity character. Another important wine from Novaia is the Amarone della Valpolicella, made from dried grapes, which undergoes a long aging process in oak barrels. This wine is known for its rich and intense flavors, with notes of dried fruit, chocolate, and spice.
