Cantina Bolla is a winery located in the Veneto region of Italy, in the heart of the Valpolicella area. The winery was founded in 1883 and has a long history of producing high-quality wines, especially Amarone and Valpolicella wines.
Cantina Bolla has 85 hectares of vineyards, which are located in the best areas of the Valpolicella region, including the hills of Negrar, Marano, and Fumane. The winery uses traditional methods to produce their wines, including the Appassimento technique, which involves drying the grapes for several months before pressing them. This process concentrates the flavors and aromas in the grapes, resulting in rich, complex wines.
The winery produces a range of wines, including Valpolicella, Ripasso, Amarone, and Recioto. Their Amarone della Valpolicella Classico is particularly noteworthy, as it is made using a blend of Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes that are dried for four months before being pressed. The resulting wine is full-bodied, rich, and complex, with notes of dark fruit, spice, and chocolate.
Cantina Bolla is committed to sustainable winemaking practices and has implemented several initiatives to reduce their environmental impact, including using renewable energy sources and reducing water usage in the vineyards.
