Capanna di Cencioni

Capanna di Cencioni

Capanna di Cencioni is a well-known winery located in Montalcino, a prestigious wine region in Tuscany, Italy. Born in 1906, Giuseppe Cencioni is one of the founders of today's Brunello wines. And to this day it is a family business. Patrizio and Amedeo Cencioni, the grandsons of Giuseppe, now work tirelessly in the vineyards and cellar.

Capanna di Cencioni specializes in the production of Brunello di Montalcino wines. Brunello di Montalcino is a red wine made from the Sangiovese grape, known locally as "Brunello". These wines are known for their complexity, maturity and structure. They usually have a powerful character with aromas of ripe red fruit, spices and earthy notes.

The vineyards of Capanna di Cencioni cover about 12 hectares and are located on hills in Montalcino. The company uses traditional winemaking techniques and strives to preserve the typical characteristics of the Brunello di Montalcino wines. In addition to Brunello di Montalcino, Capanna di Cencioni also produces Rosso di Montalcino, a slightly younger and more accessible version of Brunello.
