Palmento Costanzo is a winery located in the eastern part of Sicily, Italy. The winery was established in 2010 by the Costanzo family with a mission to produce wines that are true expressions of the Etna territory. The winery is situated on the slopes of Mount Etna, an active volcano, at an altitude of 600 to 800 meters above sea level, which gives the vineyards unique soil and climatic conditions.
Palmento Costanzo cultivates local grape varieties, such as Nerello Mascalese and Carricante, which are known for their ability to reflect the characteristics of the terroir. The vineyards are organically farmed and hand-harvested, with minimal intervention in the winemaking process to allow the natural expression of the grapes.
The winery produces a range of red, white, and rosé wines, including the iconic Mofete and the white wine called Bianco di Sei, which is a blend of Carricante and Catarratto. The wines are known for their elegance, minerality, and complexity, which are the result of the unique terroir and the careful winemaking techniques used at Palmento Costanzo.
