Mottura is a winery located in the region of Apulia, in southern Italy. It was founded by Giuseppe Mottura in 1927 and is still owned and operated by the Mottura family today. The winery produces a range of wines, including reds, whites, and rosés, made from both indigenous and international grape varieties.
One of the standout wines produced by Mottura is the Negroamaro del Salento IGT "Lamie Delle Vigne," made from 100% Negroamaro grapes grown in the Salento region. This wine is aged in French oak barrels for six months, resulting in a complex and full-bodied wine with notes of blackberry, plum, and vanilla.
Mottura also produces a number of white wines, including the Verdeca del Salento IGT "Lamie Bianche," made from the Verdeca grape variety, and the Chardonnay del Salento IGT "Lamie Delle Vigne," made from Chardonnay grapes grown in the Salento region. The winery is committed to sustainable agriculture practices and has implemented a number of environmentally friendly initiatives, including using solar panels to power the winery and collecting rainwater for irrigation.
