Nino Negri

Nino Negri

Nino Negri is a winery located in the Valtellina DOCG zone in Lombardy, Italy. The winery was founded in 1897 and is named after a local 19th-century painter, Nino Negri. Today, it is part of the Gruppo Italiano Vini, which is one of the largest wine producers in Italy.

The winery specializes in the production of Nebbiolo-based wines from the steep, terraced vineyards of the Valtellina region. The vineyards are located at high elevations and are planted on soils that are rich in granite and porphyry. The unique terroir of the region, combined with the expertise of the winemaking team, results in complex and elegant wines that are highly sought after by wine enthusiasts.

Nino Negri produces a range of wines, including Sfursat, a rich and powerful wine made from dried grapes, and Inferno, a wine that is named after the steep, rocky slopes where the vineyards are located. The winery also produces a range of other red and white wines, including Rosso di Valtellina and Valtellina Superiore.
