Friuli is a region in northeastern Italy around the city of Udine, located between Venice, the Alps, Slovenia and the Adriatic Sea. Today this region makes up the largest part of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. This region has a hilly landscape. The subsoil consists of pebble, gravel and sand. The white wines here are mainly made from Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Traminer and Chardonnay grapes. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and native Refosco grapes are used for the red wines.
We sell wines from Friuli from, among others, the following wineries: Alturis and Ronco del Gnemiz.
