Weingut Weigand

Weingut Weigand is a family-run winery located in the Franconia wine region of Germany. The winery is located in the village of Iphofen, and the family has been producing wine for over 400 years. Today, the winery is run by winemaker Markus Weigand, who is passionate about producing high-quality wines that showcase the unique terroir of Franconia.

The Weigand family cultivates approximately 16 hectares of vineyards, primarily planted with Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, and Pinot Noir. The vineyards are farmed sustainably, with a focus on hand-harvesting and minimal intervention in the cellar. The winery produces a range of wines, including dry whites, reds, and sparkling wines, as well as sweet wines made from botrytis-affected grapes.

Weingut Weigand is known for their focus on terroir and their commitment to traditional winemaking techniques. They are particularly recognized for their Silvaner wines, which are considered some of the best in the region.
