Typical family estate of Erick Lavallée from Saint Bris le Vineux. Located just below the city of Auxerre, between the wine regions of Côtes d'Auxerre, Saint Bris, Chablis and Irancy. He makes generous wines, which are able to represent both grape and soil well, and offer a lot of drinking pleasure. And not unimportant: an excellent price-quality ratio.
His white Côtes d'Auxerre is a beautiful Burgundian Chardonnay, whose taste is somewhere between minerally, fresh Chablis and round, rich Burgundy from the Côte de Beaune. Ripe yellow and white fruit, grass-fed butter, and something floral. Round and mouth-filling, and a long soft finish.
The Aligoté of this house is fresh and mineral, slightly creamy with notes of citrus and green fruit.
