Domaine des 3 Dames

Simon Ravaud has made quite a name for himself in a short time with his very young Domaine des 3 Dames in the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation. The winery covers approximately 6.5 hectares in the village of Solutré, on top of the famous eponymous Roche. He took parcels belonging to 3 different ladies into use in 2014, hence the name.

The wines

He makes a little bit of Mâcon-Solutré, a little more Saint Véran and especially Pouilly-Fuissé. Simon is an energetic guy, fanatic and full of life. Rarely has a first visit to a winegrower made such an impression and instilled confidence. A tidy cellar, a choice of new and used barriques from France's best tonneliers. And someone with a very clear plan spoke convincingly. The wines did the rest.
