Barmès-Buecher

Domaine Barmès Buecher

Domaine Barmes Buecher is a family-owned winery located in the village of Wettolsheim in the Alsace wine region of France. The winery was founded in 1985 by Geneviève Barmes and François Buecher and is now run by their son, Maxime Barmes, who took over in 2011.

The winery is known for its commitment to biodynamic farming and has been certified by Demeter since 2002. They believe in a holistic approach to winemaking that takes into account the lunar and cosmic rhythms of nature. They use only natural preparations and avoid any chemical interventions in the vineyards.

Domaine Barmes Buecher produces a range of wines, including white wines made from Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, and Muscat grapes, as well as red wines made from Pinot Noir and other varietals. Their wines are known for their purity, minerality, and elegance, and they are often aged in oak barrels to add complexity and depth.

The winery produces several different cuvées, including the Hengst Grand Cru Riesling, which is considered one of the finest Rieslings in the region, and the Rosenberg Grand Cru Pinot Gris, which is a rich and complex wine with notes of honey, apricot, and spice.

Overall, Domaine Barmes Buecher is a highly respected winery that is committed to producing high-quality, biodynamic wines that reflect the terroir of the Alsace region.
