The winery was founded in 2004 by Fritz Wieninger, a well-known winemaker in Austria, and Christian Neumann, who previously worked in the hospitality industry. The two partners were joined in 2006 by Alexandra Hajszan, a Hungarian-born wine expert who brought her expertise and knowledge to the winery.

Hajszan Neumann cultivates grapes in several different vineyards, including Bisamberg, Nussberg, and Leopoldsberg, all of which are located in the outskirts of Vienna. The winery specializes in producing elegant, mineral-driven white wines, such as Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, as well as full-bodied red wines, such as Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch.
