Penley Estate

Penley Estate is an Australian winery located in Coonawarra, a wine region in South Australia known for its Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery was founded in 1988 by the Penley family and was named after the locality where the vineyards were located.

Penley Estate produces a range of wines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and a Bordeaux-style blend called Phoenix. The winery is also known for its reserve wines including the Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and the Reserve Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon.

Penley Estate's winemaking philosophy is centered around producing wines that are balanced, elegant, and expressive of their terroir. The winery's vineyards are sustainably managed and are located in the heart of Coonawarra, where the Terra Rossa soil is known for producing high-quality wines with distinctive minerality and elegance.

In addition to its commitment to quality winemaking, Penley Estate is also known for its striking cellar door, which was designed by renowned architect, Robin Gibson. The building features a curved, corrugated iron roof and was inspired by the region's pastoral heritage.
