Windmeul Reserve Pinotage is an iconic wine from Windmeul Kelder, one of the largest wine producers in South Africa. The wine is made from 100% Pinotage grapes that come from selected vineyards in the Breede River Valley. The grapes are picked manually and then fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine matures for 18 months in French oak, which ensures a complex and rich taste.
The color of the wine is deep ruby red with purple hues. The nose is intense and complex with aromas of ripe red fruit such as cherries, plums and blackberries. Hints of vanilla, toast, spices and tobacco come from the oak aging.
In the mouth the wine is full and powerful with soft tannins, good acidity and a long aftertaste. The aftertaste is long and persistent with notes of red fruit, spices and vanilla.
