Weigand Der Wilde Wild Wild White is crystal clear and very light straw yellow in color. The nose gives off aromas of grapefruit, juicy pear and some melon. In the taste palette lime, apricot and again pear, which are accompanied by an aftertaste with spicy nervous acidity.
The grapes are picked by hand with strict selection. A short cold maceration takes place in the vinification cellar, after which the grapes are pressed. Then follows the spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with wild (grape own) yeasts in stainless steel tanks where the wine matures on its fine lie without being crossed. The wine is bottled in the early spring following the harvest. This whole process is done entirely according to organic rules and regulations. Weingut Weigand has recently made the transition to (certified) organic cultivation.
Wine - Food pairing
Ideal as an aperitif. Also suitable with salads, grilled vegetables, fresh goat cheese and not too spicy Asian dishes.
