Vérité La Joie

Vérité La Joie is a powerful wine that embodies the essence of Bordeaux-style Cabernet Sauvignon, but with the unique expression of Sonoma County, California. This wine has a deep, dark ruby color and offers an intense aromatic palette of black cherry, cassis, graphite, cedar and subtle notes of mint and spice. The palate is full and layered, with firm but refined tannins, lively acidity and a long, complex finish.

The wine is aged in French oak barrels, which contributes to its structure and complexity. Vérité La Joie is known for its excellent ageing potential, developing over the years into a more refined and harmonious wine, comparable to the best wines from the Pauillac region of Bordeaux.

Wine - Food pairing

This wine pairs perfectly with rich, full-bodied dishes that compliment the tannins and structure of the wine. Think of grilled ribeye or sirloin with a rosemary sauce, venison steak or a beef and mushroom stew. Strong cheeses such as an aged cheddar or a blue cheese also go well with the intensity of this wine. For a vegetarian option, a dish with roasted vegetables, such as eggplant or mushrooms, is a good match.

What sets Vérité apart is the careful selection of micro-plots in the vineyard, with each plot treated and vinified separately to bring out the unique characteristics of the soil and climate. The wines are often compared to great Bordeaux wines for their elegance, depth, and exceptional aging potential. The winery uses only French oak barrels and focuses on sustainability and craftsmanship in every step of the production process.
