Spain is known for producing some of the world's best wines, and luckily there are plenty of vegan options available too. Vegan wines are made without the use of animal products or by-products in the winemaking process. Spanish winemakers use alternative fining agents such as bentonite clay, activated charcoal or pea protein to remove impurities from the wine, instead of animal products such as egg whites or gelatin.
Many Spanish wineries also use sustainable and environmentally friendly farming practices, such as organic or biodynamic farming, which can improve soil health and reduce the need for synthetic pesticides and fertilizers.
