Today, Cantina Vecchia Torre is one of the most important wine cooperatives in the province of Lecce and an example of one of the most successful companies in Apulia. Among the various grape varieties, the predominant varieties are the local Negroamaro, Primitivo and Malvasia of Lecce; other red grapes are Montepulciano and Syrah. The main white varieties are Vermentino, Malvasia Bianca, Chardonnay and Trebbiano.
