This red wine, created in the heart of Puglia, delights with its intense character and refined elegance. The Negroamaro and Syrah grapes, grown under the warm Italian sun, give the wine its unique complexity.
After careful vinification, during which the grapes are partially dried ("appassimento"), Vecchia Torre A Passo Lento reveals a deep purple-red color. The nose is intense and exuberant, with aromas of ripe fruits, vanilla, plums, cherries and hints of carob.
The taste is powerful and full, with a ripe structure and velvety tannins. The fruity aromas return on the palate, accompanied by subtle nuances of spices and tobacco. The finish is long and persistent, with a pleasant warmth that balances the strength of the wine.

Today, Cantina Vecchia Torre is one of the most important wine cooperatives in the province of Lecce and an example of one of the most successful companies in Apulia. The aim is intense respect for the culture, traditions and a genuine relationship with the members, who are followed and advised in all phases of the grape development. Among the various grape varieties, the predominant varieties are the local Negroamaro, Primitivo and Malvasia of Lecce; other red grapes are Montepulciano and Syrah. The main white varieties are Vermentino, Malvasia Bianca, Chardonnay and Trebbiano.
