Sylvain Loichet Pernand-Vergelesses Les Belles Filles is a beautifully fresh wine with a minerality that is typical of this appellation. Layered flavors of granny smith apples show delicacy and length. Even with its austere character, notes of white fruit and flowers emerge on the palate. A concentrated wine with a nice length.

Located in the village of Pernand-Vergelesses, the 'Les Belles Filles' vineyard sits on top of eastern slopes, next to the Premiers Crus vineyards. The soil consists of white marl limestone and the vines are between 35 and 40 years old. The vineyard is grown organically. The grapes are harvested by hand when they have reached their optimum ripeness.

The grapes are carefully sorted a second time in the cellar, before being gently pressed with a pneumatic press. The must is transferred overnight under cool temperature into French oak barrels, 30% of which are new. The fermentation is carried out with natural indigenous yeasts. Here the wines are aged for 9 months after which they undergo a fine filtration and are bottled by gravity.
