Stepp Scheurebe is an aromatic and fresh white wine from the Palatinate wine region in Germany. The wine is produced by the Gerd Stepp winery, which has been making wine in Neustadt an der Weinstraße since 1980.
The grapes for this wine are grown on calcareous soils in the Stepp vineyards in the Palatinate. The grapes are harvested by hand and selected for optimal ripeness. The vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks, after which the wine matures on the lees for 6 months.
The nose of the Stepp Scheurebe unfolds aromas of citrus fruits, stone fruit, apple, pear, peach, apricot, honey, passion fruit and elderberry. The taste is fresh and fruity, with ripe fruit, lively acidity and a long, persistent aftertaste.
