Stepp Pinot Noir is a fruity and smooth red wine from the Palatinate wine region in Germany. The wine is produced by the Gerd Stepp winery, which has been making wine in Neustadt an der Weinstraße since 1980.
The grapes for this wine are grown on calcareous soils in the Stepp vineyards in the Palatinate. The grapes are harvested by hand and selected for optimal ripeness. The vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks, after which the wine matures on the lees for 6 months.
The nose of the Stepp Pinot Noir unfolds aromas of red fruit, such as strawberries, raspberries and cherries, with hints of vanilla, cinnamon and toast. The taste is fruity and smooth, with ripe fruit, soft tannins and a long, persistent aftertaste.
