Stellenbosch Vineyards Credo Shiraz is a powerful and complex red wine from the Stellenbosch region of South Africa. The wine is made from 100% Shiraz grapes grown at an altitude of 400-600 meters. The grapes are harvested when they are optimally ripe and then fermented in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine matures for 18 months in French oak.
The color of the wine is deep red with purple hues. The nose is intense and complex with aromas of ripe black fruits such as plums, blackberries and cassis. Hints of vanilla, toast and spices come from the oak aging.
In the mouth the wine is full and powerful with ripe tannins and good acidity. The aftertaste is long and persistent with notes of chocolate and tobacco.
This wine has won several awards, including a Gold Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2023 and a Trophy at the International Wine Challenge 2023.
