Sébastien Treuillet Pouilly Fumé is a dry white wine from the French Loire Valley, originating from the Pouilly-Fumé subregion. The wine is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes and is classified as AOC Pouilly-Fumé.
The grapes for Pouilly-Fumé come from vineyards in Tracy-sur-Loire and Pouilly-sur-Loire. The soil here is calcareous with clay and flint, which gives the wine a mineral character. The grapes are harvested manually and then gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures. The wine is then aged on its fine lees ("lie") in stainless steel tanks for 8 months, which provides greater texture and aromas.
Sébastien Treuillet Pouilly Fumé has a clear, light yellow color. The wine has an intense nose with aromas of citrus fruits, green herbs, flint, white flowers and honey. The taste is complex and mineral, with fresh acidity, a round texture and a long aftertaste.
