Santa Cruz Cueva del Chamán Esencia Garnacha Tintorera is a deep, dark cherry red in color. This wine has typical notes of ripe Garnacha Tintorera; grapefruit, figs, blackcurrants, blackberries intertwined with balsamic and smoky notes from the ripening process. The first sensation in the mouth is sweet with a balanced acidity and the tannins that prolong the palette. The power of the Garnacha Tintorera is palpable and the extra factor finish of roasted coffee beans provides extra length. The overall feel is complex and reminds us of forest fruits mixed with vanilla, coffee and tobacco.
The vineyards used for these wines have been selected through a careful selection process by a technical team. Looking for maximum quality, the selection is largely based on the age of the vineyard, yield and the general health of the vineyard. This premium wine pays great attention to detail during the harvest. The vineyards are at least 40 years old. The harvest is done in 100 kg boxes with a strict selection on arrival at the wine estate. Malolactic fermentation is applied in new 500 liter French oak barrels. Here it matures for at least 14 months.
