Salentein Numina Chardonnay

Salentein Numina Chardonnay is deep golden yellow with a hint of light green in color. In the nose fresh and intense aromas of ripe pineapple, white peach and jasmine. In the mouth a broad palette unfolds with a creamy start and beautiful natural acidity, rounded off with a long aftertaste. A floral, fruity and mineral Chardonnay.

In the heart of the Mendoza lies the Uco Valley, here is the bodegas Salentein, with Dutch roots and international recognition. The renowned Argentinian winemaker José 'Pepe' Galante is head of the winery and specialist in high-altitude viticulture.

The name of the vineyard for the Numina wine is 'El Oasis'. This vineyard is low lying, but has a long growing season, which is reflected in the soft fruity character of the wine.

The Numina Chardonnay gets a partial malolactic fermentation, malic acid is converted into lactic acid and this gives the wine its softness. Furthermore, the wine also undergoes a maturation on the 'lie', which gives it a slightly floral touch. This maturation takes place in French oak barrels for 8 months.

Wine - Food pairing

Delicious white wine in combination with, for example, sea bass with lentils, but with the Italian classic Vitello Tonato this Numina Chardonnay is really sublime!
