Salentein Numina Gran Corte

The Salentein Numina Gran Corte is a purple-red wine that is very lively. Aromas of red fruit and cassis, but also violets, vanilla and cloves can be discovered in this powerful complex blend. The ripe tannin and the long elegant finish make this wine a true feast.

In the heart of the Mendoza lies the Uco Valley, the bodegas Salentein. Acclaimed Argentinian winemaker José “Pepe” Galante has been head winemaker since 2010 and is considered by many to be one of South America's most influential and important winemakers.

Located in the Uco Valley sub-region, from the Mendoza region, Bodegas Salentein can rightfully speak of a unique location. The name of the vineyard for the Numina wine is 'El Oasis'. This vineyard is the lowest, but has the longest growing season, so you get a nice ripe wine with soft tannins.

This 'Numina Gran Corte' is a combination of grape varieties that can be labeled as classic Bordeaux, but now in a unique Salentein style. Each grape variety ferments separately in large oak barrels. After fermentation, winemaker José Galante determines the best ratio and the wine is blended and matured for 16 months in small barriques.
