The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo from Rocca Bastia is made from 100% Montepulciano grapes, from vineyards in the Teramo province. The grapes are harvested by hand when they are optimally ripe. The vinification takes place in modern vinification cellars, where the wine macerates on the skins for 10-15 days. This ensures an intense color and soft tannins. After maceration, the wine matures for at least 6 months in stainless steel tanks.

The Rocca Bastia Montepulciano d'Abruzzo has a deep garnet red color with cherry red tones. The wine has a complex nose with aromas of ripe cherries, plums, violets, vanilla and tobacco. On the palate the wine is elegant and harmonious with soft tannins and fresh acidity. The taste is complex with notes of dark fruit, cocoa, pepper and minerality. The aftertaste is long and persistent.
