Rapitalà Rosato is a refreshing rosé wine sourced from Sicily, Italy, and is crafted by Tenuta Rapitalà, a leading winery known for its quality wines and Sicilian heritage.
This rosé wine is composed of a blend of Nerello Mascalese and Perricone grapes. This results in a fascinating flavor profile with notes of juicy strawberries, raspberries and hints of flowers and herbs.
The Tenuta Rapitalà vineyards are located in Sicily, where the Mediterranean climate and volcanic soils have a beneficial effect on the grapes. These terroir characteristics contribute to Rapitalà Rosato's distinctive flavor and complexity, making it a reflection of the Sicilian terroir.
To preserve the quality, freshness, aromatic intensity and the Sicilian terroir in the wines, Rapitalà opts for a vinification process based on low temperatures. For the red wines, they harvest the grapes at night or early in the morning, after which the grapes are cooled (to about 5°C). Pressing takes place under controlled temperatures to preserve the aromatic complexity. The must remains in contact with the lees at a low temperature (0-5°C) for about 7 to 20 days and natural fermentation follows in stainless steel.
