Rapitalà Hugonis Cabernet Sauvignon - Nero d'Avola is a Sicilian "Bordeaux": the sullenly benevolent Cabernet Sauvignon on the estate met the Nero d'Avola, "who could not be more native" and speaks strictly Sicilian. The result is a complexity with clear ideas: a fusion between French strength and Sicilian resistant softness.
This wine has a deep ruby red color. Aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries and plums. Full and round with jammy fruit and chocolate notes. A lovely long aftertaste!
The grapes are soaked for 2 weeks during fermentation in stainless steel tanks. This is done separately for each grape variety. After fermentation, the Cabernet Sauvignon is aged in French oak barriques. And the Nero d'Avola matures in large barrels of 3,000 liters. Both wines mature separately for 10 months. After the wines have been blended, they are aged for another 3 months in 5,000 liter casks, followed by 6 months of aging in the bottle in the cellar.
Rapitalà Hugonis Cabernet Sauvignon - Nero d'Avola goes well with strong dishes, roasted meats, pasta, stews and game.
