Bodegas Sandeman

Bodegas Sandeman

Bodegas Sandeman is a prominent producer of sherry and port wines based in Jerez, Spain. The company was founded in 1790 by George Sandeman, a Scottish wine merchant, and has since become one of the most recognized names in the wine industry.

Sandeman is particularly known for its range of sherries, which includes fino, manzanilla, amontillado, oloroso, and Pedro Ximénez varieties. The company also produces a range of port wines, including ruby, tawny, and vintage port.

In addition to its iconic wines, Sandeman is also known for its distinctive logo, which features a man dressed in a Portuguese student's cape and hat, known as a "black cape." The logo was designed in 1928 by George Massiot Brown, a British artist, and has since become synonymous with the Sandeman brand.

Today, Bodegas Sandeman is owned by Sogrape Vinhos, a Portuguese wine company, and continues to produce high-quality wines that are enjoyed around the world.
