Phebus Merlot Gran Reservado Patagonia has an intense red color. It is an elegant red wine with complex aromas of dark red forest fruits with hints of vanilla and coffee. The taste is nicely balanced, with a refined structure, beautifully interwoven silky tannins and a delicious, long finish.

The grapes for this wine come from the Argentine region of Alto Valle de Rio Negro, Patagonia. For this wine, a green harvest takes place in December and the number of bunches is limited for more concentration. The grapes are harvested by hand from April 8 to 16. This is done in crates of 20 kilos in order not to damage the grapes. A double selection takes place, first of the bunches and then grape by grape. First of all, the grapes are allowed to bleed for a concentration of the juice. Subsequently, before fermentation, a cold skin action takes place for 5 days at a temperature of 10 - 12 °C. The must is then fermented at a controlled temperature of 26 - 28 °C for 30 days. The wine is pumped over four times a day for optimal aeration. Subsequently, 100% of the wine matures for 12 months in French oak barrels.
