Famille Perrin Côtes du Rhône Réserve Rouge is a red wine produced by Famille Perrin, a renowned wine family from the southern Rhône valley in France.

Côtes du Rhône is a wine appellation in the Rhône Valley that includes red, white and rosé wines. The Côtes du Rhône Réserve Rouge is therefore one of the red wines in this range. It is important to note that the Côtes du Rhône Réserve Rouge is a blend of different grape varieties, for which the Rhône Valley is known.

Perrin Côtes du Rhône Réserve Rouge has a deep ruby red color. In the nose aromas of red and black currants and a very light amount of dried Provencal herbs. The palate shows notes of small, very ripe red and black fruit and some pepper, which are followed by a good aftertaste with supple tannins.

After the manual grape harvest, the grapes are selected, destemmed and vinified separately. The grapes are partly heated very briefly and quickly to 80°C and immediately cooled to 20°C, after which they undergo a temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation with wild (grape's own) yeasts on large cement cuvées for two weeks with the rest of the grapes. . Then the grapes are pressed and the young wine transferred to stainless steel tanks and large wooden casks to undergo and mature malolactic fermentation. After 6 months, the wine is bottled after light filtration. This entire process takes place according to biological and/or biodynamic rules and regulations as far as possible.
