The first sip reveals a silky texture and a balanced taste. The tannins are velvety soft and envelop the tongue with a pleasant warmth. The taste development is a journey through a palette of ripe fruit, spices and a hint of toast, ending in a long, elegant finish.

Opus One is an iconic winery that was founded in 1979 through a unique collaboration between two wine legends: Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Château Mouton Rothschild in Bordeaux and Robert Mondavi, a pioneer in the Napa Valley. The goal of this collaboration was to create a wine that combined the best characteristics of both regions: the elegance and refinement of Bordeaux with the power and ripeness of Napa Valley.
Located in Oakville, California, Opus One encompasses a world-class vineyard growing grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Opus One wines are characterized by their complexity and depth. They are rich in fruit, with notes of black cherry, cassis and plum, combined with subtle hints of spice, cedar and earth.
