Opus One

Opus One is one of the most prestigious wines from Napa Valley, born from a collaboration between two wine legends: Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Château Mouton Rothschild and the famous Californian winemaker Robert Mondavi. The winery was founded in 1978 and aims to make a unique wine that reflects both the elegance of Bordeaux and the power of Napa Valley.

The wine is a Bordeaux blend, composed mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon, supplemented with smaller amounts of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Opus One is known for its complex flavors of blackcurrant, cassis, and blackberry, with subtle hints of tobacco, cedar, graphite and spices, partly thanks to the aging in French oak barrels. The texture of the wine is velvety, with firm tannins and an excellent structure, which ensures a long life in the bottle.

Opus One remains a symbol of Napa Valley's top quality and one of the most prestigious wines in the world.
