Mottura Primitivo di Manduria is a red wine from the Mottura Vini del Salento winery in the Manduria region, Puglia, Italy. This wine is made from the Primitivo grape, an indigenous variety that originated in southern Italy, and in particular in Puglia.

The Primitivo grape thrives in the warm Mediterranean climate and calcareous soils of Manduria, which provides optimal growing conditions for the grapes. The grapes are carefully picked and expertly vinified to preserve the typical characteristics of the Primitivo grape and the unique terroir of Manduria.

Mottura Primitivo di Manduria has a deep red color. This wine has aromas of red fruit such as jam, morello cherries, cocoa and walnuts. In the mouth full, velvety and harmonious in taste.

The grapes are grown exclusively in the province of Taranto and parts of the province of Brindisi. The terroir consists of calcareous clay. Winters here are moderate and springs and summers very dry. The grapes are harvested strictly by hand when ripe, the bunches are carefully selected and subjected to a traditional maceration of 10-12 days on the skins, during which the must is fermented at a controlled temperature. Alcoholic fermentation is followed by malolactic fermentation.
