Mottura Negroamaro del Salento is a red wine produced by Mottura Vini del Salento in the Salento region, Puglia, Italy. This wine is made from the Negroamaro grape, an indigenous grape variety common in southern Italy, especially in Puglia.

The Negroamaro grape thrives in the warm Mediterranean climate and calcareous soils of Salento, ensuring optimal ripening of the grapes and rich flavors in the wine.

Mottura Negroamaro del Salento has a garnet red color with purple highlights. In the nose intense with aromas of ripe fruit, pepper, tobacco, walnuts in combination with ethereal notes. In the mouth velvety, full, powerful and harmonious.

The Negroamaro grapes come from different municipalities in Salento. The terroir consists of calcareous clay. Winters here are moderate and springs and summers very dry. Grapes are harvested strictly by hand, the bunches are carefully selected and subjected to a traditional maceration of 10-12 days on the skins, during which the must is fermented at a controlled temperature. Alcoholic fermentation is followed by malolactic fermentation.

The wine is aged for about 6 months in French oak barriques and then the wine continues to mature in the bottle for another 2 to 3 months.
