Montes Wings
In 2019 Montes launched a new wine called Montes Wings.
A special Chilean Carmenère blend with some Cabernet Franc that clearly distinguishes itself from the strong, Purple Angel. For the Montes Wings, grapes are sourced from the sub-region of the Apalta Valley, which is considered a cool area in the Colchagua region. The wine shows a deep red color, with the purple undertones that are so characteristic of Carmenère. The intense nose reveals aromas of black fruits, such as blackberries and blueberries, accompanied by pleasant spicy notes of paprika and black pepper, sweet notes of the French oak barrels, resulting in a very complex wine. The rounded palate of the wine shows extreme softness and potency, with a very long, pleasant aftertaste.
Wine critic James Suckling was impressed by the abundance of delicious notes in his first taste of this wine and awarded it an impressive 96 points. He picked up notes of "olives, white pepper, fennel and lots of roasted red chilli", as well as "hints of cigar box and cocoa powder".
Wine - Food pairing
Montes Wings is a truly gourmet wine. Can be drunk immediately but can certainly mature for another 10-15 years in your cellar. Serve with a grilled steak or pulled pork. The wine really needs some firmness on the plate.

Montes Wings is a fantastic Chilean red wine from Viña Montes from Chile. This wine is made from 85% Carmenère and 15% Cabernet Franc grapes.
Recommended serving temperature between 16°C and 18°C.
