Merlin Saint Véran Côte Rôtie is a white wine from the Maconnais region in Burgundy, France. It is made by Domaine Olivier Merlin, a renowned winery run by Olivier and Corinne Merlin. The wine is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes that grow on a steep slope with a southern exposure, called La Côte Rôtie1. The wine is aged in oak barrels, some of which are new, and has a complex and buttery flavor with notes of citrus, peach, honey and minerals. The wine has a good balance between freshness and richness, and can be drunk both young and after several years of aging
