Les Charmettes Chardonnay Viognier has a golden yellow color and has aromas of pineapple and dried apricot. The Chardonnay grape brings the structure and aromas of Viognier, reminiscent of the Muscat grape, blending well with the exotic fruit flavors of Chardonnay. The taste is elegant and mouth-filling. The aftertaste is spicy and fresh.
Fermentation, under controlled temperature, takes place in barrels for about 15 days. Regular batonnages (stirring with a stick or baton) are then performed one to two months after fermentation. Maturation continues in barrels on whole lees.
Fantastic value for money!
Delicious as an aperitif or in combination with shellfish and crustaceans, chicken dishes, sea fish, poultry, pasta and ripe creamy white mold cheeses.

In the heart of the Languedoc, in the Hérault department, lies the 80 hectare domain of the Alcon family. They have been working according to nature-friendly farming methods (agriculture raisonnée) for four generations.
Rows of tall trees protect the vineyards from the powerful Mediterranean wind, which also provides the necessary cooling. The winery grows several indigenous as well as more famous grape varieties such as Chardonnay and Viognier. The drive of the family in combination with the terroir make this a particularly good winery.
