Domaine Les Bertrand is a family business that has been making wine in the Beaujolais wine region of France for generations. Yann Bertrand, the current winemaker, is passionate about the Gamay grape and strives to create wines that reflect the pure expression of this grape and the terroir of Beaujolais.

Fleurie is one of the ten crus of Beaujolais, Fleurie wines are without a doubt the most feminine of the Beaujolais crus. First of all, they are grown in a lush green environment, in the heart of beautiful lieux-dits that produce wines of a beautiful crimson color.

Cuvée du Chaos is clear, ruby red in color. Aromas of berries, raspberries and flowers on the nose. The taste shows notes of ripe small red fruit, some licorice and a subtle minerality, which are accompanied by soft tannins and fresh acidity in the refined aftertaste.

Fleurie Cuvée du Chaos from Les Bertrand comes from a vineyard of 1.1 hectares and whose vines have an average age of over eighty years. After a strict and selective manual harvest, the grape bunches are destemmed. The grapes then undergo alcoholic fermentation (macération carbonique) in concrete vats unbruised and at a controlled temperature (10-12°C) without the addition of sulfur. After 20 to 25 days, the pressing takes place and the young wine is transferred by gravity to older oak barriques, where malolactic fermentation can take place. After maturing for 9 months, the wine is assembled, without filtering, without adding sulfur and bottled by gravity. This entire process follows biodynamic rules and regulations.
