La Chapelle de Potensac is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grapes. The wine has matured for 12 months in oak barrels of which 33% are new barrels.
This results in a wine with fine tannins, a beautiful structure, rich taste of red fruit and a fresh aftertaste. In short, a very elegant Médoc with an excellent price-quality ratio.
Delicious red wine that goes well with confit de canard or slow-cooked ham on the bone.
La Chapelle de Potensac is a delicious French Bordeaux wine from winery Château Potensac from France. This wine is made from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grapes.
Recommended serving temperature between 16°C and 18°C.
Located in the northern part of the Médoc, Château Potensac was the only Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel within the appellation until this classification was abolished in 2007. The winery has long been owned by the Delon family, who also own Château Léoville Las Cases in St. Julien and Château Nénin in Pomerol.
The domain includes 53 hectares of vineyards and due to various expansions in the past, the chapel in the small town of Potensac belongs to the wine estate.
The 2nd wine of Château Potensac, La Chapelle de Potensac, owes its name to this.
