Kruger-Rumpf is a well-known and highly appreciated winery from the north of the Nahe. In Münster-Sarmsheim, the Rumpf family has been making wine for many generations, using vineyards from the Nahe valley and neighboring Rheinhessen. A real family domain with deep roots in regional culture, in addition to the wine company also a "Weinstube" and a few guest rooms.
The winery has been committed to making quality wines for a long time, as witnessed by the membership of the VDP since 1992. But the real sprint to the top has been initiated by the youthful brothers Georg (winemaker) and Philipp (business manager) Rumpf. They are responsible for the remarkable leap in quality in recent years, which has not gone unnoticed internationally either.
Georg makes fantastic Rieslings; intense and very terroir typed. This grape variety excels in the excellent vineyards of Pittersberg, Dautenpflänzer and Scharlachberg (the latter is located in Rheinhessen). The quality of this Grosse Gewächse can now rival that of famous vineyards further south in the Nahe Valley.
