Kruger Rumpf Dautenpflänzer Riesling Trocken Grosses Gewächs

The grapes for this wine come from the vineyard "Dautenpflänzer", which is known for its special terroir and optimal location. The soil consists of slate, which contributes to the complexity and minerality of the wine.

In the glass, Kruger Rumpf Dautenpflänzer Riesling Trocken Grosses Gewächs presents itself with a bright straw yellow color and greenish reflections. The bouquet is intense and expressive, with aromas of citrus fruits, peach, blossom and subtle minerality. On the palate, the wine reveals a refreshing acidity and a dry character, with flavors of lime, grapefruit, stone fruit and a hint of spice. The wine has an excellent balance between fruity notes, lively acidity and an elegant minerality. The finish is long and invigorating.

Kruger Rumpf Dautenpflänzer Riesling Trocken Grosses Gewächs is a wine of absolute top quality and can be stored and developed for many years. It is an excellent choice for lovers of dry Riesling wines looking for complexity, depth and impressive balance.

Wine - Food pairing

In terms of wine-food combinations, this wine goes well with refined dishes such as grilled fish, shellfish, poultry and Asian dishes with a light spiciness. Its refreshing acidity and complex flavors make it an excellent companion to culinary creations.

Weingut Kruger Rumpf

Kruger-Rumpf is a well-known and highly appreciated winery from the north of the Nahe. In Münster-Sarmsheim, the Rumpf family has been making wine for many generations, using vineyards from the Nahe valley and neighboring Rheinhessen. A real family domain with deep roots in regional culture, in addition to the wine company also a "Weinstube" and a few guest rooms.

The winery has been committed to making quality wines for a long time, as witnessed by the membership of the VDP since 1992. But the real sprint to the top has been initiated by the youthful brothers Georg (winemaker) and Philipp (business manager) Rumpf. They are responsible for the remarkable leap in quality in recent years, which has not gone unnoticed internationally either.

Georg makes fantastic Rieslings; intense and very terroir typed. This grape variety excels in the excellent vineyards of Pittersberg, Dautenpflänzer and Scharlachberg (the latter is located in Rheinhessen). The quality of this Grosse Gewächse can now rival that of famous vineyards further south in the Nahe Valley.
