Kaiken Aventura Chacayes Sur Malbec
In addition to elegance, Kaiken Aventura Chacayes Sur Malbec also shows the spicy character of the grape. The grapes are harvested manually and fermented in concrete vats after a strict selection. After the fermentation follows a maturation of 12 months in concrete barrels. The wine has intense aromas of ripe red and dark fruit, complemented by spicy notes of thyme and mint. Concentrated and soft in taste with a long, elegant aftertaste.
The grapes for this wine come from Los Chacayes. The vineyards are located on the southern slopes of the Arroyo Grande, the river that crosses the Kaiken estate. The bottom consists of sand and loam and is covered with large boulders. The loose soil allows the roots to grow deep into the ground. The summers are hot here, but due to the high location of the vineyards (approx. 1250 m) it cools down considerably at night. The large temperature differences ensure that the grapes ripen slowly and evenly, without losing their freshness.
This wine is an excellent example of the quality and expression of Argentine Malbec. It masterfully combines richness, complexity and elegance. It is a wine that can be enjoyed immediately, but also has the potential to mature and develop further in the bottle.
