Joseph de Maistre Menetou-Salon Cuvée Valentine is a white wine from the Loire Valley in France. It is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes.
Cuvee Valentine has a light yellow color with silver reflections. It has a nice intensity in the scent. Notes of white flowers such as lily of the valley and white lilies are vividly present. Fresh notes of anise and fennel follow, followed by mountains of vanilla and candied citrus aromas. In the taste it has a nice freshness that gives relief and texture to the whole. Aromas of caramel and vanilla pods are felt in the mouth, which is the result of aging in oak. Nicely balanced with a very nice length.
Wine - Food pairing
This Menetou-Salon wine is an excellent choice to drink as an aperitif, with seafood and grilled fish, with white meat dishes or goat cheese.

Domaine Joseph de Maistre
The Joseph de Maistre winery is a family business that has been producing wine in the Loire Valley in France since 1982. The winery is owned by Joseph and Marie de Maistre, who both come from a winemaking family.
The winery is located in the village of Saint-Céols, in the heart of the Menetou-Salon appellation. The vineyards of the winery are located on a sandy soil, which provides good drainage for the grapes. The grapes are harvested manually and then gently pressed. The must is fermented in stainless steel tanks and then aged on the yeast cells for a period of 6 months.
The winery produces a wide range of wines, including white, red and rosé wines. The white wines are made from Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc grapes. The red wines are made from Pinot Noir and Gamay grapes. The rosé wines are made from Pinot Noir grapes.
